The Billionaire’s Fake Fiance Teaser

“Excuse me, are you Charlotte Johnson?” A deep voice came from behind me and I jumped forward out of fright as I walked into my apartment building.

“Yes?” I turned around cautiously, looking at the man behind me. He had a New York Yankees baseball cap on and dark sunglasses. I stared at him for a few seconds trying to see if I recognized him, but he was covered up so well that I could barely make out his face. “Can I help you?”

“I’m with the New York Post and I wanted to ask you some questions.”

“Questions?” I blinked and swallowed hard. Oh shit! “Questions about what?”

“About your relationship with Max Parker.” He said confidently and quietly. “Do you mind if I interview you?”

“Uhm yes I mind.” I said trying to think quickly. “Unfortunately, I’m not in a position to talk to the press at this time.”

“Oh?” He cocked his head to the side and I wished that he would take his glasses off so I could see his eyes.

“Yes, he’s a very private man and our uhm, relationship is so new that he, uh, doesn’t want us to ruin it by talking to the press.”

“So you’re confirming that you are dating him?”

“Well, I don’t like to say anything.” I bit down on my lower lip. “How do you know I’m dating him?”

“Didn’t you see the article today?” He held up a newspaper for me to see and my heart stopped.

“What article?”

“The article about you and Max Parker…” He paused for a few seconds. “And the fact that you’re on the way to an engagement.”

“What?” My jaw dropped. This had really gotten out of control.

“I wanted to know if this was a shotgun wedding?”

“Shotgun?” My heart was racing now.

“Are you getting married because you’re pregnant.”

“Pregnant?” I tried not to laugh. I wanted to shout at the man in front of me. No, I’m not pregnant, I’ve never even met the guy, but I daren’t say anything.

“Is it true that he has a ten inch cock?”

“Excuse me?” Had he just said cock? What sort of reporter asked these sorts of questions?

“I said is it true that he has a —.”

“That is enough.” I raised my voice and held my hand up. “You should watch how you’re talking to me.” I said and watched the man in front of me lift one eyebrow and smirk as I spoke. “My boyfriend Max Parker won’t be happy to hear that you’ve been so rude to me.”

“Your boyfriend or your fiance?” The man took off his sunglasses and his eyes pierced into mine. “Why don’t you call him now and see what he has to say?” His bright blue eyes seemed to be mocking me as he stared at me. As if he knew that there was no way for me to call Max Parker. And it was then that I recognized him from the dinner I’d been at the night before.

“You.” I pointed my finger at the man that had been so rude to me the night before. “It’s you.”

“Yes.” His lips curled up and his eyes mocked me. “It’s me.”

“Are you following me?” I tried to ignore the heat that had suddenly overtaken my body. I was not going to be attracted to this reporter, no matter how hot he was.

“Am I following you?” He cocked his head to the side. “I just want to get the story of the decade.”

“Story of the decade?” I rolled my eyes. “I hardly think my love life is the story of the decade.”

“No one cares about your love life.” He shook his head and smirked. “The real story here is how you trapped the Max Parker.”

“That asshole deserves to be trapped.” I muttered under my breath. “Preferably under a ten ton elephant.”

“Sorry what?” The man leaned forward. “I didn’t hear that.”

“Nothing.” I said quickly and hurried towards the elevator.

“Are you as kinky as he is?” He looked me over consideringly. “I heard he’s into some really dirty stuff.” He licked his lips slowly and deliberately and I shivered slightly.

“Excuse me, I’m not talking to you anymore.” I could hear the man walking behind me and I could feel myself growing angry as I prayed for the elevator to hurry up.

“Why don’t you just leave me alone? I’m not interested in talking to the media!” I glared at him.

“Yes, I’m sure you’re not.” He said, his voice sarcastic as he stood next to me. “I’ll bid you adieu, Charlotte Johnson.” He nodded his head and then grinned at me. “Until we meet again.”

“I sure hope that that’s never.” I lifted my nose up in the air and gave him my dirtiest look.

“Really?” He cocked his head to the side and grinned. “I’ve a feeling that we’ll meet again.” He looked me over and winked. “And you be sure to tell Max Parker that he owes you a spanking for being a naughty girl.”

“Excuse me?” I said and then he leaned forward and kissed me on the lips, his mouth pressing into mine in a possessing way. I couldn’t stop myself from kissing him back and I could feel my body melting into him as his fingers played with my hair. When he pulled away from me, I could hear myself breathing hard and he chucked.

“I said I think you better tell your boyfriend Max Parker you’ve been a very naughty girl.” He winked again. “I don’t think he would like to find out that you’ve been kissing strangers and giving them hardons.” He chuckled at my shocked expression and then walked away without another word. The elevator arrived them with a loud ding and yet I couldn’t move.

For the first time in my life, I stood there completely speechless.

My mum returned to college when I was a kid to get My mum returned to college when I was a kid to get her BA in photography at Harrow college. I can remember all the negatives hanging in the kitchen and one of the bedrooms was her darkroom. I can still remember the smell of chemicals and that red light. My mum was such a talented photographer and these are some photos from her portfolio. I am going to get them framed and hang them. And yes, the last photo is of me! :)
I was able to visit my 97 year old Great Aunt toda I was able to visit my 97 year old Great Aunt today (she was my mum's aunt). She was really upset at my mum's passing and thought she'd been abandoned at the nursing home. It was so good to see her and we were able to call and Facetime many relatives. It feels good that I'll be able to visit her weekly while I'm here. I asked her if there was anything she wanted me to bring next time and she said, "A stiff drink...like some scotch." Haha!
I drove around looking for a final resting place f I drove around looking for a final resting place for my my mum today. I finally chose a cemetery and it all felt so surreal. My mum and I had been talking about the different neighborhoods abd houses we were going to check out when we got back to Florida. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I'd be here, driving around looking for a cemetery. Even more bittersweet was the fact that in my backseat was a welcome mat my mum had seen and loved and bought for her next home. A welcome mat that I will put to use. As I reached home, I decided to start going through papers to see if I could find any paperwork for my Great-Aunt, who is 97 and in a nursing home, and was being taken of by my mum. Almost immediately, I found a book of blessings that my mother had written for me. And it reminded me of how much my mum loved me and would want me to be strong. My mum taught me so many things and I am so grateful that she and I had such a special connection.
First sunset I've seen since I've been in Florida. First sunset I've seen since I've been in Florida. Miss you, mum! <3
My mum was so proud of the kitchen remodel she did My mum was so proud of the kitchen remodel she did last year. She actually handmade every single one of the tiles in the kitchen backsplash! There are so many of my mum's art projects, photographs, and handmade handbags here and I'm thinking of ways to celebrate her talents!
My mum sent me the photo on the right about two mo My mum sent me the photo on the right about two months ago saying, "I look like you." Lol. Even though really it was me that looked like her. Though, unfortunately I got none of her fashion sense and style. I think it's finally starting to hit me that she's gone. I feel like I've been going through the motions, but somepart of me is still waiting for her to call or to answer my text messages. My mum and I spoke on the phone about four times a day in the last year. Any random idea I had or any advice I needed I would call her. It doesn't feel real that I'll never be able to call and talk to her again. Her body is being flown from California to Florida next week for the burial and I have requested to do a final viewing. I need to see her one last time before I say goodbye.
It is a different world here in Florida. Just saw It is a different world here in Florida. Just saw a couple of turtles and gators swimming down the canal at the back of my mum's house. They submerged underwater when I went towards the back fence. My heart was racing though. It has been very surreal being here at the house and still doesn't seem real. I'm going to the funeral home today to get the arrangements underway.

I was absolutely freaking out; I couldn't even walk across, but my mum was like let me show you how it's done and she walked across, sat, and posed for a photo, all while I was quaking in my boots! That was a really fun day and I'm so glad that my mum and I were able to travel and share those experiences together.
